Welcome

Thank you for choosing Region 641

The season begins in early August and runs through November

Our Grassroots program is the foundation for all the fun, excitement, and learning that happens on the fields! We have developed our soccer program to be age-appropriate and developmentally challenging based on our Six Philosophies, which are the essence of AYSO’s Mission and Vision and guide all that we do.

Fall 2025 Referee Coverage 8U-14U

A cleared and certified Center Referee is required for every 10U-14U match. If a Center Referee is not available, then the match will be played as a scrimmage and will be recorded as a 0-1 forfeit for the home team. The scrimmage will proceed with club linesmen and a coach managing the game. No Referee Points will be awarded for a scrimmage without a Center Referee.

Now that our region has conducted a Regional Referee Course, all 10U-12U home teams are required to provide a referee for their match. If they do not, then they will receive a 0-1 forfeit and the match will proceed as a scrimmage. The home team is encouraged to have their referee(s) sign up for an AR spot in Assignr for their home matches. They should not sign up as the Center Referee, as we try to encourage unbiased referees to take the center spot. If before the match there is no Center Referee, then the home team’s AR must cover the center spot or the home team will receive the forfeit. If a full referee crew (unattached to the Home team) is signed up in Assignr prior to the match and one of the referees does not show, then the Home team will need to fill that referee spot or face a forfeit. A match may proceed with just a Center Referee and club linesmen as long as the Center Referee is attached to the home team.

All 10U-14U teams must submit a game card to the referee at the start of the match. If the match is a scrimmage, the game cards must be completed by the coaches with player substitutions and turned in at the tent. All 8U coaches must complete their game cards and turn in at the tent at the end of their match.

In order to receive a Referee Point for your team, your Referees must be in proper Referee uniform and fill out the back of both teams' game cards completely and legibly. Points for 8U matches can only be earned by Youth Referees (up to 5 points).

NO DONATING of REFEREE POINTS. All points earned must go directly to your child's team.

All NEW Youth Referees will only be allowed to referee 8U and 10U matches.

All teams that make it to playoffs in November, will be required to provide referee coverage during the playoffs.

All questions should be sent to [email protected].
