2023 Fall Regional Playoff Guidelines
Players must have played in at least half the season games to be eligible for playoffs. An ineligible player playing in a match will result in a forfeit loss. Any exemption for this must be granted by the Regional Commissioner in advance of the game day.
All pool play playoff matches for 10U will be shortened to 20 minute halves. For the pool play matches, the 10UB games need to have a winner. In the event of a tie, we will decide a winner by penalty kicks. The 10UG pool play matches can end in a tie.
All 12U and 14U matches, as well as the 10U Semi-final and Finals matches, will be full length. If any of these matches end in a tie, they will play two five minute overtime periods. These are not sudden death periods. The entire ten minutes must be played. If the match is still tied after the two overtime periods, the winner will be decided by penalty kicks.
The first team listed on the schedule is the home team. The home team must provide three game balls for the match.
The referee requirements are as follows:
10U- All teams need to provide an Assistant Referee on their own game for the pool play games. We will try to have neutral referees on all matches if possible, but the ARs need to come from the teams playing. Referees may sign up to be the referee on other matches, but should not referee their own child’s match.
12U & 14U- Referees should cover the opposite division. 12UB referees should referee 12UG matches, and vice versa. The same applies to 14U. Referees from these teams can help on the 10U matches as well.
All teams need to cover as many referee spots as games they play. So if your team is advancing to semi-finals and finals, your referees should cover the referee position on other pool play matches to make sure you have enough spots covered. Teams that do not provide enough referee coverage will not advance to Area Playoffs. All teams need to provide a volunteer to help with field striping
this Friday at 9:00AM
. Coaches, please let your division coordinator know who will be coming for your team.
A tie in the 10UG standings will be settled by the following tie breakers, in this order:
Head to Head Results
Goal Differential
Goals Against
Goals For
Least Amount of Cautions, Send Offs, or Spectator Ejections
Penalty Kicks
There will be no challenges to referee decisions allowed. The decision of the referee on the match is final.
